What could be more delightful than peering down into a pot of gold?  I have found that the only thing better than slurping down a nice, freshly picked peach, is opening up an eye pleasing jar mid winter and dishing up a bowl. DH and I headed out to a farm where we were met by the "peach lady", who promptly gave us each a quite large juicy "Red Skin" peach. The flavor was only matched by it's blushing beauty which was unsurpassed. With juice still dribbling down my chin I said, "We'll take two boxes!"  Soul satisfaction guaranteed. |

| Those are gorgeous!! Don't you just love how beautiful canned fruit is?? Represents a lot of work, but you will sure enjoy the bounty this coming winter. A little bit o' sunshine in a jar!! Yummy!! Now that we are back home and things are starting to get normalized again, I'm hoping to do some more preserving myself. We want you two to come over for a bbq soon...before our nice weather retreats into the winter doldrums. *sigh* Will give you a buzz soon okay?? Love you... |

We are in touch via Facebook, so it's kind of cool to see them "virtually." My little girl is at college now, attending the U of San Francisco, so it's sad she's so far away, but I'm glad it's not the east coast, or overseas! love ya! |
