What could be more delightful than peering down into a pot of gold?

I have found that the only thing better than slurping down a nice, freshly picked peach, is opening up an eye pleasing jar mid winter and dishing up a bowl.

DH and I headed out to a farm where we were met by the "peach lady", who promptly gave us each a quite large juicy "Red Skin" peach. The flavor was only matched by it's blushing beauty which was unsurpassed. With juice still dribbling down my chin I said, "We'll take two boxes!"

Soul satisfaction guaranteed.

Those are gorgeous!! Don't you just love how beautiful canned fruit is?? Represents a lot of work, but you will sure enjoy the bounty this coming winter. A little bit o' sunshine in a jar!! Yummy!! Now that we are back home and things are starting to get normalized again, I'm hoping to do some more preserving myself. We want you two to come over for a bbq soon...before our nice weather retreats into the winter doldrums. *sigh* Will give you a buzz soon okay?? Love you...

Hi Betty, Danna here. Hope you and the family are good. I've been in touch w/Teri and Sally lately, and was wondering if it would be okay to give them your blog address? We are in touch via Facebook, so it's kind of cool to see them "virtually." My little girl is at college now, attending the U of San Francisco, so it's sad she's so far away, but I'm glad it's not the east coast, or overseas! love ya!
